This achievement ranks us among the top 35% of rated businesses and places us in the 84th percentile of all companies assessed by EcoVadis, the globally recognised sustainability ratings platform.
As part of our ongoing sustainability efforts, we have continued to enhance our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, leading to a strong improvement in our EcoVadis score. Our overall rating has increased from 63/100 to 67/100, positioning us well above the industry average score of 54/100 for manufacturers of components and boards. This improvement reflects our dedication to driving sustainable progress across our operations and supply chain.
Strengthening Our Commitment to Sustainability
Corintech’s sustainability strategy is built around key policies and measurable performance indicators to ensure meaningful impact. Recent initiatives that contributed to our improved EcoVadis rating include:
- 100% Renewable Energy – As of July 2024, all electricity used at Corintech is now certified 100% renewable, up from 56.7% in 2023. Additionally, our gas usage is now carbon neutral, significantly reducing our overall carbon footprint.
- Enhanced Sustainable Procurement – Our UK and Hong Kong purchasing teams have implemented a new Customer Supplier Questionnaire that integrates sustainability, ESG, and compliance factors. This initiative enables better supplier transparency, helps us respond promptly to customer requests, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes sustainability across our supply chain.
- Expanded Supplier Code of Conduct Compliance – Building on our previous efforts, we have distributed our Supplier Code of Conduct to all relevant suppliers, rather than just our top-tier suppliers, reinforcing our commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing.
- Strengthened Risk Management – As part of our governance improvements, we have enhanced our business risk assessments, updated our business impact analysis, and improved cyber security measures. Strengthening risk management makes our business more resilient, ensuring we are less likely to be adversely affected by external and internal challenges.
- Highest-Scoring Area – We achieved our highest EcoVadis score in Ethics, with a 76/100 rating, reflecting our strong commitment to ethical business practices.
