If you’re involved in new product development, you know the balancing act. Product specifications must be met, BOM costs kept to target, unique teams working on different aspects of the design, regulatory approvals and all within a set time-to-market deadline. So how does Corintech walk this tightrope?
The team here at Corintech have years of experience and a strong track record in the field of electronic product design and electronics manufacturing. An equal combination of experience, tools and process are key to our success.
With in-house teams of product designers, electronics engineers, software developers, production engineers and procurement specialists, we are able to assemble multi-disciplinary development teams at the inception of a project. Input from all disciplines at every stage of a project streamlines the development process, ensuring that coherent decisions are made.
We also recognise that staying up to date with leading-edge design and verification tools enables our teams to apply their experience in the most effective way. Tools we use include Solidworks for 3D CAD, Altium and Pulsonix for PCB design and a variety of development environments for firmware, software and app development. We even have an in-house EMC test facility for pre-compliance testing throughout the development process.
Last, but by no means least, comes process. Our manufacturing and design processes are designed to be compliant with the requirements of ISO9001 and the more stringent AS9100 aerospace quality management system standard. With the right mix of experience, leading-edge tools and a process with appropriate project stages, verification gates and sign-off requirements, we find that we can navigate that NPD tightrope with confidence.
